About us

Set on private grounds surrounded by rolling fells, Burrow Cottage combines rustic charm with all the modern touches that make a stay truly effortless. The cottage sleeps up to six guests, with space for everyone to unwind.
Inside, you’ll find a cosy living area with a fully equipped kitchen, and three comfortable bedrooms designed for restful nights.

Outside, enjoy a private garden, ample parking for three cars, and of course, the luxury hot tub — the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring.

About Your Host

Hi, I’m Emma, your host here at Burrow Cottage. I’m a working mum, wife, and proud Lake District local.

Having grown up surrounded by the fells and lakes, I know all the best spots — from peaceful walking routes and hidden swimming tarns to cosy pubs and family-friendly activities.

Alongside running my dog grooming business, Plantation Paws, I love welcoming guests and sharing a little piece of our Lakeland lifestyle. As an Airbnb Superhost, I take pride in making every stay special — with thoughtful touches, local knowledge, and a genuine love for what I do.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me walking, fishing, canoeing, or adventuring with my family. We live right next door in the connecting cottage, so I’m always nearby if you need help or local tips, while giving you the privacy and peace you came for.
